#TBR June 2019

#TBR June 2019

Last month, I did this thing where I didn’t really set a TBR list of books I intended to read for the month. The result: a whole list of awesome books I absolutely loved.

Also the result: nearly all of them were Romance. I have no shame.

But at the end of May, I read a Crime Fiction/Mystery book (Next Girl to Die by Dea Poirier), and it was so good that now I am feeling myself going into a Crime Fiction kick.

So here’s what I’m going to do for this month—I’m going to mix it up and do a little bit of both. I’m going to set myself a minimum TBR with varying genres and then beyond those I’m going to read whatever I feel like in the moment.

Romance:

This month in Romance, I’m following another #readathon, so I’ve got a couple of picks for this based on the Readathon challenges. I’m trying to hit more than one category with one book where I’m able so that I’m not trying to read 7 different romance books, but if I have time, who knows…

The books I do plan to read for these (all already on my TBR) will include:

Advanced Physical Chemistry
Susannah Nix
(Plus Size Character!)
-purple on the cover
The Seduction Expert
Saya Lopez Ortega
-author with 3 names
-author I’ve never read
-diverse author
Men of the North: The Dancer
Elin Peer
-a book I already own

Mystery/Suspense:

Her Last Word
Mary Burton

Fantasy:

Throne of Glass
Sarah J. Maas

Young Adult:

Where I End and You Begin
Preston Norton

Women’s Fiction:

The Storm Sister
Lucinda Riley

Historical Fiction:

Mistress of the Ritz
Melanie Benjamin

That ought to be a good place to start for me. What about you? What do you plan to read this month? Do any of these interest you?
