Kindle Unlimited Books to Binge-Read While Social Distancing

If you’re like me, you’re being responsible and staying at home to keep social distance to help “flatten the curve” on this crazy pandemic we’re in the midst of. If you’re also like me, you’re sick and bloody tired of being constantly bombarded with the barrage of media coverage being shoved in our faces everywhere we turn, and you’re in need of escapism in the worst possible way for your very sanity.

There has been so much helpful response in these times of struggle and uncertainty, including Amazon’s 2 Free months of their Kindle Unlimited reading subscription program. So I thought I’d share a post today with some of the bingeable reads on Kindle Unlimited I can recommend!

First up… Books with Narration!

These are books that you can borrow with your KU subscription, and the Audible audiobook will be borrowed along with it, also free as a part of your subscription. (Subject to change depending on when you read this, so double check first!)

The Jude Fontaine Series
(Mystery | Thriller)
Follow Jude Fontaine, a female detective who escaped a 3 year captive situation with the new uncanny ability to read body language.
Ghost Gifts Series
(Mystery | Thriller)
It’s a whole new level of solving crime when you can speak to the dead, or rather, the dead can speak to you.
The Stillhouse Lake Series
(Mystery | Thriller)
Gwen is a former housewife of a notorious serial killer who will protect her children at all costs. And the costs are mounting.
The Zoe Bentley Series
(Mystery | Thriller)
Zoe Bentley is a female forensic psychologist tracking serial killers while her own past continues to haunt her.

Women’s Fiction Books with Narration by Camille Pagán.

(Highly recommend!) All three of these books are highly relatable with characters and story lines you can’t help but picture yourself in the middle of if you happened to find yourself in a similar situation.

Other Beloved KU Books With Audible Narration:

The Murmur of Bees
(General Fiction | Diverse Fiction)
At once comical and endearing, you’ll fall in love with this Mexican culture story and the courage of a child with the heart of a lion who speaks the language of bees.
What the Wind Knows
(Romance | Historical}
Fans of Outlander will enjoy this poetic time-travel romance with an Irish/Welsh setting. Need I say more?
The Upside of Falling Down
(Romance | Women’s Fiction)
Fans of Catherine Center’s How to Walk Away will enjoy this amnesiac love story set in Ireland.

Ebooks I Think You’ll Love As Much As I Did…

For the following, while they may have audiobook companions, the audio version is not a part of the deal when you borrow the ebook, but they are still binge-worthy and perfect for a large dose of escapism when you have a lot of time on your hands!

Dragon’s Gift: The Huntress Series
(Urban Fantasy)
This is the start of a long-standing, ongoing series following a set of characters you’ll love and root for as they go on adventure after adventure, gathering friends and defeating foes.
The Rylee Adamson Series
(Urban Fantasy)
Danger, adventure, fantastical friends and foes, characters you’ll love and others you’ll love to hate. You won’t be able to put this one down, and you’re in for a wild ride.
The Darkness Series
(Urban Fantasy | Paranormal Romance)
This is one of those series that will make you a lifelong fan of the author. Magic, danger, villains, underdogs, and let me tell you, it’s STEAMY too.
The Covenant of Muirwood Series
(Fantasy)
Another adventurous underdog story with a unique and interesting magic system and a strong female lead. With reviews like “EXCELLENT series” and “one of the best,” how can you not give it a try?”
The Harry Potter Series
(Middle Grade/YA Fantasy)
Yep, that’s right! The entire Harry Potter series of ebooks are available to borrow with Kindle Unlimited, and the books are ALWAYS better than the movies!
The Men of the North Series
(Romance)
I seriously cannot recommend this series enough. 400 years in the future, men are few and women rule the world. Except for the area formerly known as Canada and Alaska, which is inhabited by the Men of the Northlands, a group of strong men, who refuse to be ruled by women.
The Peyton Clark Series
(Paranormal Romance)
If you like books set in the culturally magical city of New Orleans, look no further than Peyton Clark, who moves to town and finds her new home has a ghostly inhabitant she can’t seem to shake. Someone who inhabits her body, mind, and soul, and takes her on the adventure of two lifetimes. Very rich with N’Orleans culture past and present. Comical and emotional at once.
The Cafe Series
(Contemporary Romance)
If you haven’t read the series that made contemporary romance readers the world over megafans of Jana Aston, it’s a great time to remedy that! Funny, steamy, and the untouchable bad boy that romance lovers can’t help but enjoy.
Savaged
(Contemporary Romance)
This was a wild mountain-man romance with a large dose of mystery and intrigue that I couldn’t help but be totally enthralled by.
The Muse
(Contemporary Romance)
If you haven’t read the brilliant prose of L.M. Halloran before, you’re in for a treat. There’s nothing like a highly emotional read to pull you out of your own world and into another.
In Blood We Trust
(Futuristic Romance)
Another book I can never recommend enough is this futuristic mystery romance by European author Elodie Colt. This suspenseful and steamy novel will hook you on this author who writes both contemporary and urban fantasy under the same name.

If you read any of these awesome books or series, I hope you’ll pop back in and let me know what you think! Let me know in the comments what books or series you find binge-worthy in the comments!
