I’m a little sad that summer is starting to come to a close. I live in Texas, which means we could still very well have summerish heat all the way into December, but we are definitely on a downhill swing. I came to really enjoy those sweaty afternoons spent reading in the shade in the backyard hammock this year. There was something oddly nice about not having anywhere else to be (even if it was kind of forced) and spending that time with my nose in a book to escape the reality of life.
Reflecting back on some of the books I enjoyed the very most this year, I decided to compile a shortlist for you guys. These were the books that topped my reading list that I’d recommend to my friends.
Are you looking forward to Fall, or are you still holding on to the last drops of summer? What books topped your summer list this year? Let me know in the comments!
